Korea's most popular girl group in Japan, Kara recently received an honored achievement at the ceremony of 2012 "Stars of Korean Tourism".
On June 12th, located at theater in Jeong-gu in Seoul, Kara honored a 'special achievement award' at singer category from Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for their effort to promoting the hallyu spreading specially in Japan, and placed themselves as the most popular girl group in Japan.
Upon receiving the award, Kara member Park Gyuri stated, "We've been honored and delightful to received the special achievement award from 2012 'Stars of Korean Tourism'. We hope that many other singers will contributed to spread hallyu and our culture to the world in the future".
"Stars of Korean Tourism" was established in 2010 and involving many people to select the hallyu artists who give the most contribution in developing the Korea's tourism growth.
