News: K Actor and Kpop Artists Unite for Anti-Piracy Campaign

Korean actors and Kpop artists recently gather around to participate on effort against piracy being led by Gaon Chart called the "2012 Good Downloader Campaign".

Participating actors such, Ahn Sung Gi, Park Joong Hoon, Lee Min Jung, Jang Hyuk and music stars Yoon Do Hyun (YB), Kim Yuna (Jaurim), Yunho (TVXQ), Nickhun (2PM), Sohee (Wonder Girls), as well as Sulli (f(x)) banded together for the campaign during a shoot yesterday, sending the message that pirating movies and music is illegal and wrong.

The "2012 Good Downloader Campaign" representative commented that they wanted to get the message across that pirating movies and music is definitely not okay, but to also make people think about pirating in a more broad sense including things like television programs, characters, and sportswear.

All the participant in this campaign believe that  the Hallyu culture should be obtained in legal ways and through good download. They hope that the message clear-through the heart's of their fans.

Although the campaign has the good purpose, but some netizens who viewed the campaign on sites comments negatively. Some said "If they were campaign anti-piracy, then the Kpop artists will begin loosing their fans because we've already in jail". While others says, "The hallyu spread thanks to illegal downloads providing by many free stuff sites, if they campaign anti-piracy then it should halt the hallyu itself ". And many antipathy comments for this anti-piracy campaign.

Anyway, the commercial for the "2012 Good Downloader Campaign" will be released on February 22nd at the first Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards.

What is the latest activities that Girls' Generation members working on once they arrived in New York?, well we've got Jessica here walking down the road of New York street. But what for Jessica wandering around, for some fresh air?, nope, she was actually poses for magazine "Daze and Confused".

On January 31st, the official Twitter for ‘Dazed’ posted a picture of Jessica straight from the street. “We’re in New York! Here’s a small preview of the photoshoot we recently finished with Girls’ Generation’s Jessica. Jessica received the attention of New Yorkers with one glance. Her image transformation can be seen through the March edition of ‘Dazed & Confused’.” 

Jessica apparently not feel weird about the neighborhood, coz US was her born country 23 years ago, and so her US name "Jessica" still used until now. Jessica is extremely busy lately, as she’s not only working on her group’s worldwide promotions, but is making her acting debut with "Wild Romance" and shooting in individual pictorials like these.

News: Girls' Generation Feet Their Step in America

America we've made it!, such a relieve that we've finally come!, maybe that was the unspoken expression amongst Girls' Generation members after more than 12 hours flight, they finally step their feet in JFK International Airport on 30th January around 10:00 am EST (East Standard Time).

After a long flight journey, the girls arrival was greeted by a large group of fans that eagerly waited for their arrival. The girls seemed exhausted as the look of their complexion and expression caught on the photo shots.

After one day rest, the girls will begin attending CBS's "David Letterman Show" tomorrow (31st January EST) and ABC's "Live! with Kelly" on the day after. Well good look girls!.

News: Girls' Generation Departs for American Dream

Here we come US!, as the most popular girls group in Asia, Girls' Generation departs through Incheon International Airport for their flight to New York US.

The girls will begin their serious campaign for their American Dream, by attending two major American Talk Shows, CBS‘s "The Late Show with David Letterman" on 31th January and ABC‘s "Live! With Kelly" on 1st February.

Their dispatch drew attention from many fans whom crazily flew in from Japan and even Taiwan to send them from Incheon departure gate for girls and wishes for their success as well.

As for their airport fashion, the girls opted for ‘comfortable chic’ due to the length of their flight. Their style points were sunglasses, short jackets with long mufflers, and ankle boots.

Hot Album: FT Island 4th Mini Album "Grown Up"

After making a comeback from their Japan debut in 2011, with their album "Return", Rock band group FT Island has released the fourth Mini Album "Grown Up". The rock band which consisted, Choi Jong Hun, Lee Hongki, Lee Jae Jin, Choi Min Hwan, Song Seung Hyun tempered the album with slow-tempo ballad with a more mature sensibility is configured for the new album title track "Severely", composed by hitmakers Kim Do Hoon and Lee Sang Ho. News: Big Bang and 2NE1 Scheduled to Perform at Japan "Springroove Festival"

The two most successful YG Entertainment artists, Big Bang and 2NE1 have been revealed that they will appear at one of Japan’s biggest music festivals, "Springroove"!

Amongst their business preparing their latest album, Big Bang scheduled to release their new album on march, while 2NE1 still under secret project with will.i.am for launched their first US album. This occurring event in Japan will be their first time participating in Springroove, and the two groups will take the stage alongside world renowned artists like LMFAO and David Guetta.

After "Figaro" concept four months ago, the female group Nine Muses, comeback with another concept to become one of celebrated Kpop girls group. The girls image also changed as the new member added (Kyungli), now Nine Muses was consisted with 8 members.

As the fans point of view, Nine Muses hasn’t quite reached a stable footing yet. News: Taeyeon will Makes Her Cameo Appearance on "Salamander Expert"

After weeks anticipated waiting, finally Girls' Generation Jessica's fans smiled of happiness, as their favorite debut actress makes appearance in KBS2 Drama "Wild Romance".

Jessica who played Kang Joong Hee appeared in the 7th episode of the drama which aired in 25th January. Jessica (Kang Joong Hee) played a role as the former girlfriend of Park Mooyeol (played by Lee Dongwook).

As the storyline, Jessica's Kang Joong Hee was a former girlfriend of Park Mooyeol who never wants to get over on they relationship. Kang Jonghee enters the story when Park Mooyeol is close to opening up his heart to Yoo Eunjae (played by Lee Siyoung), completely changing their relationship, and so their seriously begin the triangle love story.

In scenes of the story that unfolds, Kang Jonghee returns from her business trip overseas and meets with her friend Sooyoung (played by Hwang Sunhee). The two approach Mooyeol, and Jonghee jumps into his arms, and finally she says "I miss you".

News: IU Gain Huge Success on Her First Japanese Showcase

IU Lunar New Year sacrifices was finally resulted a payback, as she accomplished her first official Japanese showcase. As been reported IU skipped her family gathering on Lunar New Year weekend to pursue her first Japanese carrier activity.

IU left Korea on 23th January to performing at the Bunkamura Orchard Hall which hold two sessions of her ‘Japan Premium Live‘ Showcase in 24th January. The showcase from beginning to end was dedicated to creating the optimal stage for IU to sing her music. Bunkamura Orchard Hall was originally the venue at which the event was held is a more elegant and professional ‘arts’ venue that’s different from other stadiums and event halls. This venue was selected so that IU could most effectively deliver the best quality of music for her fans.

The 40 member orchestra added to an overwhelming scale and a deepness to the songs that touched the hearts of the fans gathered in the hall.The Japanese version of Good Day was revealed for the first time before its official release as IU’s debut single, and let IU show off her explosive vocals.

IU performed her hit songs like “Rain Drop“, “Last Fantasy“, and more. This live performance put on in conjunction with New City Orchestra had a much richer sound that delivered a much more deep emotion to the audience members.

Various responds coming for IU performance came from leading Japanese newspaper NikkanSports who was also at the event remarked, “IU’s vocal talent is her greatest secret weapon. Her vocals are much more amazingly powerful now that we have seen her perform live and we are looking forward to IU’s future in Japan.”

First, The members of Girls’ Generation will soon appearing on the American late night circuit - arguably the best place to promote in America. Girls’ Generation was invited to guest on CBS’ The Late Show with David Letterman on January 31. 

The show which airs every weekday at 11:35 p.m. that features several guests who talk and/or perform. The show has featured figures from various areas, such as celebrities, politicians, sports stars and anchors, and is known to be one of the top three talk shows of America along with The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Late Night with Conan O’Brian.The members of Girls’ Generation will be the first Korean singers to appear on the show.

Second, they scheduled by appearing on TVGuide.com‘s episode listings by 1st February, Girls’ Generation is listed as an upcoming guest on the February 1st episode of ‘Live! With Kelly‘ (formerly ‘The Morning Show’ and ‘Live! with Regis and Kelly’), a morning talk show hosted by Kelly Ripa. An addition to Girls’ Generation, this episode will also feature singer Jennifer Lopez as well as Howie Mandel as the guest co-host.

They ultimate promo will be releasing their special Album "The Boys" in US on 17th January. Regarding the talk shows, many are looking forward to what successes Girls’ Generation will be enjoying in America due to its appearances on these major American talk shows.

News: TXVQ Reunion That Avex Working On it

The charming passion of Korean male group TVXQ still shinning bright in the vision of Japanese fans. The Japanese fans longing for the true and complete TVXQ by brought news on the possibility of TVXQ‘s reunion is sending shockwaves throughout the industry.

Recently on January 22nd, a Japanese article titled, “Will Avex act as the savior? for TVXQ’s reunion project” surfaced. It reported of rumors of a reunion concert at Tokyo Dome orchestrated by Avex, who was previously accused of hindering JYJ‘s Japanese activities. In light of Avex’s recent under-performing releases, it is said that they are willing to go head with this project and stop hindering JYJ’s Japanese activities. Japanese superstar Ayumi Hamasaki is reven umored to be negotiating on behalf of both sides.

The fans anticipating the issue enthusiastically for possibility of reunion, while others are skeptically for such thing will happen. The fact that reunion project is being worked by Avex and not SM Entertainment (TVXQ label) who caused TXVQ break apart is also caused skepticism.

The article also revealed it hesitation, which state, “While the reunion of TVXQ is something that many fans are waiting, the small possibility of this actually happening is an indicator of Avex’s desperation,” hinting that Avex’s possibility of success are far from reality.

In the other hand, TVXQ fans responded to the news with, “While it would be great if reunion happens, it seems unlikely“, “They say Avex will lead the project but I can’t trust them“, and “I hope they stop writing these pointless reunion articles“.

As the news spreaded, there aren't no official statements have been released from any parties, it’s important to wait for these rumors and speculations to be confirmed.

News: Han Chae Young Deletes Her Tweet Due Bad Comments

 

Comments and criticism around the social network are usual things occurred when we connected through that media, seemed it was happened to Korean actress Han Chae Young recently.

The bad and unlikely comments received by Han Chae Young during her Lunar New Year greeting with her fans on her own Tweeter. The "Cheng Chun Hyang" greet her fans on 23 January 2012, on her tweets she said “HAPPY NEW YEAR! Taking a drive for the first time in a while this holiday weekend. I pray that in the new year, everyone will be prosperous with everything they do. Always remember to be happy and healthy.”

Alongside her greets on tweet, she also shared a photo of herself driving what looked to be a Lamborghini, a high-end Italian sports car, which bring some various comments from netizens. Although there were a few fans that responded positively to her tweet, even wishing the actress the same blessings in the new year, there were a few that criticized her for driving such a luxurious car.

The few netizens criticize apparently leave bad impression which she couldn't handle it, as her tweet had been removed as of 4:00PM January 23rd (KST). Somehow it proves that an Idol can be so touchy after all.

Korean New Year, commonly known as Seollal (설날), is the first day of the lunar calendar. It is the most important of the traditional Korean holidays. It consists of a period of celebrations, starting on New Year's Day. 

Korean New Year generally falls on the day of the second new moon after winter solstice, unless there is a very rare intercalary eleventh or twelfth month in the lead-up to the New Year, which occurred in 23rd January 2012. In such a case, the New Year falls on the day of the third new moon after the solstice.

Korean New Year is typically a family holiday. The three-day holiday is used by many to return to their hometowns to visit their parents and other relatives where they perform an ancestral ritual. Many Koreans dress up in colorful traditional Korean clothing called hanbok.  Special food "Tteokguk" (떡국) (soup with sliced rice cakes) is a traditional Korean food that is customarily eaten for the New Year. According to Korean age reckoning, the Korean New Year is similar to a birthday for Koreans, and eating Tteokguk is part of the birthday celebration. Once you finish eating your Tteokguk, you are one year older.

- The girls from 4Minute are known for their sexy appeal, but they seemed suited for beautiful and colored hanbok, and perfectly showed their feminism side. Their greatest wishes for New Year is to be successful in releasing their new album next month. Upon their Lunar New Year greeting they said “Our new album release is just around the corner. We will work to show you new sides of ourselves with this new album, that we have yet to reveal before.”
