MAMA 2011 was totally different from previous MAMA, by providing Kpop Artist closer to their major fans in Asia (hosted in Singapore), also there's one more thing different instead of bringing the show with original MCs, they brought the Korean celebrities (hallyu stars) as the MCs.
Shin Hyung Kwan (Mnet Speaker's) said to Star News, that they will be getting rid of MC hosts and instead, introduce a new ‘messenger’ concept. These presenters will be comprised of actors and TV celebrities who will freely help unfold the progress of the ceremony in the form of videos and voice announcements.
