Fun and Fact: A Pink was the Most Successful New Female Group in 2011

The 2011 ended with some notes and crazed, through last year almost every agency revealed and debuted their new girl groups. The number of girl groups that made their debut last year stands at about 40 teams (approximately).

Amongst the largest number of new girl groups only some were taken noticed, because their apparently accepted by domestic market.  At least three noticed 2011 new girl groups, A Pink, Chocolate and Dal Shabet. Three of them was received a lots of attention by their fans and grabbed some awards in 2011.

Between three of them, A Pink probably the most successful one. The girl group who consisted of 7 personnel (Park Chorong, Yoon Bomi, Jung Eunji, Son Naeun, Hong Yookyung, Kim Namjoo and Oh Hayoung) were founded by Cube Entertainment. They reached their popularity over their latest single "My My" from their second album "Snow Pink", which finally placed at top of some domestic chart. Also their latest achievement by brought home "Best New Artist" at 26th Golden Disk Awards.

Previously in 2011 Mnet Asian Music Awards, A Pink also received "Best New Female Artist", the title itself confirmed their status as the best new girl group in 2011. Meanwhile the record sell from their two albums in 2011, "Seven Springs of A Pink" and "Snow Pink" were sold more than 20,000 copies domestically, seemed more than enough for a new comer.
