The 26th Golden Disk Awards finally held in Kyocera Dome Osaka in 11 December 2012, this first day of the show was hosted by Super Junior's Leeteuk and Kara's Park Gyuri.
The first day of "Korean Grammy Awards" honors the winners of the physical album categories, while the second party (held on January 12th) will do the same for digital. Through the first day Super Junior gain most of the awards by taken home 4 Awards including Grand Prize Award (Disk Daesang).
The 26th Golden Disk itself was full of controversy this year due to the place of the show in Japan. Some questioning about the independent of juries due to the criteria was album sold in Korea not in Japan, then the high ticket price must afforded by fans to enter the show was also questioning part. Not to mention, the non-attendance of YG (Big Bang and 2NE1) and JYP Entertainment (Wonder Girls) artists as well as the exclusion of male group, JYJ drew concerns of fairness.
Anyway the first day show was comfortably success with the announced of the winners, let's check it out the winners list:
