Male trio group JYJ was crowned the Best Idol Star 2011 by KBS on "2011 KBS Best Star Icon Poll Award". The trio win over famous actor Lee Seung Gi and famous female Group Girls' Generation on the votes.
KBS was held a "2011 Best Icon Award" poll on their website, starting from 8th December to 28th December 2011. The result placed JYJ at first spot for "Best Idol Star". The summary vote placed JYJ with 58,357 votes beat out Lee Seung Gi who had 53,560 votes to come out on top. JYJ who released their first special full-length Korean album ‘In Heaven‘ this year have proven that they are capable and talented musicians.

The award seemed as the new year present for the boys, as the heavy schedule made KBS went to Kangnam where JYJ filming to deliver the award. KBS representative said: "JYJ were the three young men who are still spirited, lively, and cheerful as before. We even brought restorative herbal medicine so that they’ll eat and hang in there..”.
