YoonA and Jang Geun Suk new drama "Love Rain" which initially has lot expectation to be come one of higher viewer ratings, unexpectedly gained a lower viewer ratings in the first two aired episode.
On March 28th, ABG Nielsen announced TV ratings for "Love Rain" which dramatically had only 5.8% percent for its first episode and dropped to 5.2% for the second episode. However the other competitors who aired on the same time slot received better, MBC's "Light and Shadow" gained the most with 23.2%, and SBS's "Fashion King" gained 9.2% on first episode and rising to 9.6% on second episode.
The caused for poor ratings was perceived its slow paced storyline and old fashioned plot that doesn't satisfying most of modern viewers despite the anticipations behind the drama. Even so, it is expected to have higher ratings if the drama aired in Japan due to popularity of Jang Geun Suk in Japan.
